Keyword Research Strategies for Launching & Re-Ranking Campaigns

When it comes to running your Launching and Re-ranking campaigns, your keyword strategy is EVERYTHING.

It cannot be understated that the keywords you choose will make or break the success of your campaign.

In this video we outline the main strategies we use for keyword selection.

The first step for an existing listing is to do a reverse-asin lookup to audit the keywords you’re already ranking for. From there you can filter for keywords via these two strategies:

  1. Low Hanging Fruit: Keywords you’re in position 21 – 100 (off page 1 for mobile search results). Look for good search volume keywords where you’re not currently ranked on page 1.
  2. Above the Fold: Keywords you’re in position 11 – 20 (bottom of page 1 mobile search results). Look for good search volume keywords where you’re not currently ranked in the top 10 search results on page 1.
  3. Halo Effect: Identifying 3-4 long tail keywords that will get you traction with larger search volume keywords you can’t target directly.

For your Easybot campaign, select up to 4 keywords at a time to plug into your Rebate campaign. Please note, we recommend you create a keyword URL for any keywords you’re not currently ranked between position 1-40.
